
COURSE OBJECTIVES/OBJETIVOS DEL CURSO
• Understand and produce basic statements, descriptions, and questions in spoken Spanish, related to everyday topics such as daily routine (clothing, meals, etc.) and technology, as well as health and well-being;
• Begin to recognize profound differences between Spanish and English grammar;
• Acquire nuanced cultural knowledge (e.g., the diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, country-specific traditions, and forms of address);
• Become acquainted with authentic cultural production, such as: poems, songs, advertisements, film, and short stories;
• Improve language skills through creative collaboration, disciplined study, and adequate time management.
