
COURSE OBJECTIVES/OBJETIVOS DEL CURSO:
Understand and produce (spoken and written) relatively complex statements (questions, descriptions, dialogues, and narratives) about the present, past and future;
Begin to recognize profound differences between Spanish and English grammar;
Acquire nuanced cultural knowledge (e.g., the diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, country-specific traditions, and forms of address);
Become acquainted with authentic cultural production such as poems, songs, advertisements, film, and short stories;
Improve language skills through creative collaboration, disciplined study, and adequate time management.
